Congratulations to Ryder for receiving the JMM Scholarship. He ran Cross Country and Long Distance Track throughout high school.  He is a Regional and three-time State Qualifier in Cross Country and has made multiple post-district appearances in Long Distance Track events. His road to the Cross Country State Meet was not an easy one. It began with the disappointment and heartache of not progressing past the Regional Meet his freshman year. That “failure” as he calls it, is what ignited his fire and determination to let nothing get in the way of reaching his goals.  His persistent training and determination led him to three Cross Country State appearances and proved that hard work truly does pay off in the end. He has set many collegiate goals for himself and wants to run in the Boston Marathon. His ultimate goal is to be a coach and youth minister, with hopes to inspire and encourage young runners to love the lifelong sport of running.
